I wouldn't change anything about our visit to Casale Villarena. Be sure and take the boat tour of the Amalfi Coast, absolutely stunning. We took the the hands on cooking class and got to eat the food we prepared. Apparently I am not a bad cook :) Relaxing and great place to soak up the experience of Nerano. What a Wonderful place to stay! Guglielmo does everything to insure that your visit is the most-memorable.

  • Great!

Just great. Everything . from the room, to the staff, the restaurant, the nice village, the views. Was perfect. Wish we could spend more time in here. A short drive to the beach. Very close to a grocery store.

  • Beautiful Place

We spent two weeks at Casale Villarena in August and had an amazing holiday. The place and its surroundings are beautiful, with wonderful views out to sea. We stayed in the apartment Il Gallo Lungo and I honestly could not fault it. It was spotlessly clean when we arrived and was cleaned four times during our stay, with clean bed linen and towels each time. We had a wonderful complimentary breakfast everyday, with plenty of choice for everyone. The staff and owner of Casale Villarena, are exceptional and cannot do enough to make your holiday the best. We joined in with some of the evening entertainment including, Pizza night, Barbecue Night and Wine Tasting and had a great time on each occasion. We also spent a day cruising on a boat along the Amalfi coast with the owner of the complex, Guglielmo, and again had a most memorable day. He told us all about the history, took us to wonderful beaches, where we went snorkelling off the boat and around the little islands and provided food and drink the whole day - it was an amazing day. I would highly recommend Casale Villarena - it is a fantastic place to holiday.

  • Two days in paradise

We spent two perfect days staying here for my daughter's 30th birthday, initially there was no availability but when I contacted them direct they were able to arrange a 2 night stay, the staff were so friendly and seemed to be able to accommodate our every need. The building is steeped in history an has a magnificent position overlooking the coast although it is a fair walk down hill to the beach, however there is a regular bus service up and down to the lovely beach with lots of restaurants and boating activities. It is probably not part of the Amalfi Coast you would normally see but it is definitely well worth visiting. The food was wonderful at Casale Villarena with a lot of produce frown in thier gardens, and the most incredible lemon marmalade for breakfast. They have a full range of wines, preserves and oils all produced by them and all delicious.

  • Italian-style warmth & hospitality

We experienced the true side of Italy at Casa Vilarena. The setting was casual and relaxed in their hillside hotel where they provided great wine, delicious food and an endless well of hospitality. We came to enjoy the feeling of having lived inside the culture of Italy.

  • Best Kept secret in Italy

We meant to stay a night and ended up staying a week. The hotel is a beautiful collection of 16th century buildings. The views are stunning, the staff wonderful and the owner Guglielmo are real Mr fix it sorting out unscheduled trips. Your ten mins walk from the beach and on the main bus route to Positano and Amalfi. We'll be back.
